Why we Exist:

LONELINESS - 'The unwelcome guest that can sneak in uninvited'.

The all too common reality.

For many older men, loneliness and social isolation can become increasingly prevalent as they navigate transitions such as retirement or loss of significant relationships.

Without regular social interactions, they may find themselves yearning for companionship and meaningful connections, highlighting the importance of community support and initiatives tailored to address their unique needs.

What can be done?

The ‘Men in Sheds’ scheme was set up to help address this problem and provide a haven for men to meet, make friends, socialise and learn new skills. This initiative has proven instrumental in combating social isolation, empowering participants to cultivate a renewed sense of purpose and self-worth.

There is a snag...

To coordinate and execute this valuable initiative is quite an undertaking and frankly, we could benefit from some help.

How you can provide support?

We need your help to continue our mission. Your donation or sponsorship can make a significant difference in the lives of the men we serve.

With your support, we can:

• Develop our workshop facilities

• Provide essential resources

• Help even more individuals in need of companionship and support.

Together, we can make a difference in the lives of older men in our community. If you’re over 18, why not join us on our journey to promote social connection, mental well- being, and a sense of belonging.

Please consider supporting Men in Sheds today.

Your generosity will directly impact the lives of those we serve, helping us create a brighter and more connected future for all.
